The whole Moonshadow Media thingymabob.

Hi Good Thursday Afternoon

I hope that you are having a great week - I know that I am.

Just lately I have been doing a great deal of thinking and I don't know if it is the time of year or what but I just feel rather unsettled, disheartened with various things and so on.   So I have been trying to work out what my priorities are and where they lie.  Some things are going to have to go "out the door" in 2017 to make way for new ones.

As a result of this thinking phase I have already begun to make a few changes.  Starting with Wytchwynd Photography

I have decided that I really want to specialise in a few areas and whilst I will not turn work away willingly, I am hoping that as my name gets out and about that the work in the fields in which  I want to operate comes in and fills up the available time.

Alphabetically, the areas that I will be targeting are:-

Accident and Incident
Architectural (buildings,statues etc)
Artistes (in particular bands and singers)
Automotive (cars, buses, trucks etc)
Industrial (machinery etc)
Maritime
Nature
Press work

To see some of my photography (if you have not already done so) you could go to the Facebook page, Wytchwynd Photography or to my website http://bit.ly/wytchphotog

I have also been looking closely at my broadcast work and to be honest I have started to feel that radio is my first love and TV comes in second. Therefore, it is not beyond possibility that, unless I can find someone who is prepared to work with me to take IlfracombeTV to the next level, it might have to go back onto the back burner.

All that said I produced a new video for the blog that touches into Mindfulness and that is one area that I am keen to study.  During the last couple of days I recorded a new mini programme for Coaching Radio.

To listen to the latest item on Coaching Radio follow this link -  http://bit.ly/TheTao26

CauldronFM will also be getting a new Yule show, probably by the end of the weekend, so as you can see the broadcast side is busy, but again that is only because I make it so.

Therefore - if anyone reading this would like to jump on board and take on some of the broadcast bits (such as finding advertisers, sponsors for programmes, all of which I would love to do but I just don't physically have the time) and leave me to make the programmes I want to make, that would be fantastic.

And as yet I have not really touched upon the works that I feel called to do regarding my therapies (Crystal Spring, The Music Ladder, Reiki, Crystal Work) and the ongoing development of my skillset as a therapist.

Nor have I mentioned my work as a writer and a musician!

So basically, I think what I am saying is, I need to find a couple of clones that can be instructed to go off and do bits of the work that I already do.

All in all that is an indication of where my head is at the moment and as I said at the top of this post some things have to give - I have to move away from certain things to open the way for the development of others.

So, if you are, or you know of someone who is, a Girl Friday / Man Friday who shares the same passions as I do, and wants to jump on board the Moonshadow Media ship and join in the madness whilst helping me to push it from an almost, non - paying wannabe business into a paying successful media brand that is creating a living then please give me a shout or get them to give me a shout.

If you want to follow me on here please hit the blue button on the right hand side of the page that says  "Follow" - it would be great to see your name on the list.

I can be contacted in various ways including but not limited to:-

email - capstoneradio@mail.com
facebook - capstoneradio
twitter - @capstoneradio

So just before I go I would like to thank you for reading this and I wish you the best things that life can give.

Love and light to you all and remember

The Invitation.....Oriah Mountain Dreamer

Hi and good afternoon to you all.  I sincerely hope that you have had a great week.  I was just checking my emails etc. and discovered this piece that had been posted by a friend of mine from an organisation called "Conscious Living Events" and as I read it it rang so true and also highlighted some areas that I need to work on.  So I have decided to share it on here, I hope that you enjoy it

THE INVITATION
It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.
It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it, or fade it, or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own; if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself. If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see Beauty even when it is not pretty every day. And if you can source your own life from its presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand at the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, 'Yes.'
It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children.
It doesn't interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the centre of the fire with me and not shrink back.
It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.
~ Oriah Mountain Dreamer ~

Isn't that a great piece of writing and a wonderful challenge to us all?

I will be recording a new video programme over the weekend (all being well) and if things work out the way I would like them to it will be posted on Sunday or Monday.

If you enjoyed reading this it would be great if you would "follow" me and my blog page by clicking the button over there on the right of your screen that says FOLLOW
You can also email me at thedavebaxter@mail.com - i would love to hear from you.

Until the next time we speak I will say "bye for now" and wish you the best things that life can give.

The New Book............

Merrie Meet

Happy Thanksgiving to all our US friends!!

Hi everyone and thanks for joining me today as I am pleased to announce that the new book is finished and the final draft is being proof read now so hopefully tomorrow it will be sent to the printers.

The reason for the title, which may appear rather odd, is revealed inside.

The book is the latest collection of poetry that has erupted from the mind of yours truly  I am really hopeful that it will be with me before Yule so if you fancy getting a somewhat different present for someone please contact me and I will let you have all the information.

Now apart from that the only thing that I really have to say is that on top of this hill, overlooking the Bristol Channel it is damned COLD!!!

Right I had better start getting ready to head homewards.

Thank you very much for reading, if you want to make sure you stay in contact with me then you could

a) follow me by clicking on the BLUE button that says FOLLOW on the right of this page

b) drop an email to thedavebaxter@mail.com

So until the next time we speak, have a fantastic evening.

Love, Light to you all and

Bring Me The Horizon

Wow and hello everyone.

If this is anything like giving birth to a small human thank the Goddess that she decided to make me male........... So What On Earth am I talking about?

The answer is a new creation that comprises 2 pieces of music and 4 individual sections of one big poem combining to create a MusoPoetic experience.

The whole process was further complicated by the fact that I wanted to include some video elements into the whole production, but as is often the case in my world technology kept interfering with the smooth process that I felt it should have been.

Anyway I now present to you the composition that is  "Bring Me The Horizon" and I sincerely hope that you will enjoy it - to listen just click on the link beneath the picture

So now (if you have listened to the piece) I hope that you have enjoyed it and that it has spurred you on to enquire where you can avail yourself of more of the work created by "Yours Truly"

The Whyte Raven catalogue consists of music, poetry, photography and even some artistic creations all of which can be obtained in exchange for varying amounts of money.  Just how much money depends entirely on the creation you prefer.

Should you feel the urge to make contact you can do so by sending either

or a twitter message to either @capstoneradio or @cauldronfm

Thank you very much for taking the time to read (and listen) and if you have enjoyed what you have read and heard I would really appreciate a follow by hitting the BIG BLUE BUTTON to the right of this page

So until the next time I will wish you the best things that life can give

Love and Light to you all and

Blessed Be!

Tuesday in Devon

Hi

Tuesday and all is good!

The winds and rain have abated for today, the new poem "Bring Me The Horizon" has been set to music and the cover artwork has been designed.  A couple of little tweaks to do and I will be able to put the track on here.  I expect that will happen within the next 24 hours, but in the meantime as a little teaser here is the cover image.

Well that is it for now, but will be back again soon.  Please follow me if you have not already done so by clicking the BLUE button over on the right of the page that has the word "follow" in it.  You can also send me an email to thedavebaxter@mail.com should you feel so inclined,

So until the next time, have a great day, be safe and  I wish you

Love, Light and Blessed Be!

Tonight's Update

This is just a very short post to say that as is often the way of things in my life the setting up of the studio did not happen BUT on the plus side I have located a work that I did about 4 years ago that will probably do the job so tomorrow we begin editing and piecing together Bring Me The Horizon version 2.

The weather has calmed down a lot after the events of last night and also after we spent about 40 minutes getting soaking wet and freezing cold taking the old dish off the wall.

Don't forget that if you want to keep up-to-date with what is happening in my world the simplest way is to click on the blue button on the right side of the screen which says follow.

You could also send me an email to thedavebaxter@mail.com

So until the next time this is me wishing you  love, light and Blessed  Be

Wild Monday

Hi Good Morning from a rain soaked and windy top of the hill.  Don't you just love being cold and wet?  I know I do - NOT!!!!!!!

So here is a little video that I created at 7.30 this morning -  and rest assured the offending article is no longer presenting a danger.  Big Shout of Thanks to Sam of Devonwebs for all his assistance and expert ladder climbing skill.

The project tonight (all being well) is to set up the Atari and the Roland in the studio and test all the connections and make sure everything works ready to begin the creation of the original music for the Bring Me The Horizon piece.

Don't forget to receive the regular updates click the BLUE follow botton down there on the right of the screen,

You can send an email to thedavebaxter@mail.com should you have any questions that you would like to ask me.

Love, Light and the Brighest of Blessings

Bring Me The Horizon (Part 4)

Bring Me The Horizon (Part 4)

He placed the locket in her hand
He felt so weak he could not stand
And so on bended knee he said
Accept this gift, let us be wed

She opened up the locket fair
The sunlight glistened in her hair
Wide eyed, open mouthed in shock
Tears slid down onto her frock

''Tis beautiful" she softly gasped
As sunlight caught the wings at last
The quest is done I hold the prize
The tree tops kiss the sunlit sky

And in a month the pair did wed
The village buzzed and it was said
No fairer gift was ever bought
Than that horizon fairly caught.

That is  the final part of this journey.  To everyone who joined with me I say a massive thank you and I hope that it has been worth your time.

The whole piece will be going into my forthcoming book, scheduled for release in the New Year and called "Men, Monsters and Cornflakes"  The book contains some 34 poems from the marvelously mixed up mind that is temporarily on loan to me until such time as I shuffle off this mortal coil (something that I hope is a long way off - Goddess willing!)  The hard copies will be available direct from myself but there are also possibilities that the book will be available in electronic format at some future date.

So in the meantime please hit the follow button over on the right of the page and you can keep up to date with any developments.

Until the next time,

Love, Light and Blessed Be

Bring Me The Horizon (Part 3)

Bring Me The Horizon (Part 3)

He chanced upon a silversmith
A kindly man, to wrought a gift
A locket cast with her in mind
He bade our seeker go and find

The finest artist in the land
To form a picture with his hand
Of palm trees kissing azure skies
And golden shores for many miles

A thousand and a thousand more
Butterfly wings the picture formed
This priceless gift the locket held
Set with colour, Magick spell

And thus he bore it home again
Through thunder, lightning, driving rain
To place the locket in her hand
And claim his maid with wedding band

Combe Christmas Draws Near!

Hi Everyone

Thanks for reading this page

So as the title says "Combe Christmas Draws Near!"  This year in an effort to unite the town of Ilfracombe there has been a change in the format to the lighting of the Christmas Lights around the town.

Last night, as I am a member of the committee that has worked to put this new programme together, I attended the final meeting prior to the "big switch on" weekend

The main High Street "switch on" has been moved from its traditional Wednesday night spot to Friday 25th November although the format remains much the same it appears that there will be more taking place on the High Street than in recent years.  There will be some different lights in place along the Hight Street and the traditional War Memorial celebration of Christmas will be enhanced by the inclusion of an LED screen.

Photo: N Devon Journal
On Saturday 26th November there will be the annual Fore Street Christmas Market and this will be taking place in and around a marquee that is being erected for the weekend on Ropery Road Car Park.  During the day the marquee will also hold a Santa's Grotto and there will be live music provided by local musicians.  (Whyte Raven offered to perform but heard nothing back from the "music organiser" so it can only be assumed that she has more musicians than necessary).

Photo: wytchwynd photography
On Saturday evening in the marquee there is to be a "Family Xmas Party" with music provided by local band "Sonic Fusion"

Moving onto Sunday 27th November the marquee will be used again for Santa's Grotto and any traders who have said they wish to set up their stalls again.  In the afternoon a Carol Service led by Canon Michael Rogers (vicar of Pip n Jim's Church) prior to the Grand Draw (raffle prizes) and a final parade to The Pier for a spectacular firework display.  This parade will be led by the Appledore Town Band, followed by Santa's Christmas Sleigh.

I sincerely hope that this 3-day event will be well supported by the whole town and that it will prove a pivotal point in the town's history.

Furthermore, I believe that this is the start of the way forward for the celebration of Christmas by local residents.

Bring Me The Horizon (Part 2)

Bring Me The Horizon (Part 2)

The hardest challenge ever set
To win his maid he had to get
The far horizon to her land
And only then receive her hand

For months he crossed both land and sea
To find that line twixt sky and tree
Through ocean mist and siren's call
And minotaurs beyond the wall

He asked for help of kindly folk
And often times a fairy spoke
Her gentle whispers in his ear
Carry on, the end is near!

And when he felt that he was beat
He kissed the ground beneath his feet
As Magick crackled through the air
He knew he'd win his maiden fair

And now a new poem...............

Bring Me The Horizon

A tale of love, betrothed for life
Her destiny to be a wife
But first her man a task must do
To show his love for her be true

A risk that he must undertake
No-one knows the road he'll take
To end the task his one true goal
A lengthy journey down the road

The task is set, the challenge on
And once complete her heart is won
His journey far beyond the sea
To where the skyline kisses tree

The lady waits for many years
Amid her darkest deepest fears
That he will not return to land
The far horizon in his hand

15/11/23 Making My Way Back…….

Hello and Merry Meet After what seems to be an absolute eternity I feel that I am now getting into a position where I can begin to reboot ...
