4 EASY STEPS THAT CAN HELP YOU TO FEEL BETTER.

Hi it’s Dave and first of all let me welcome you to the Under Blue Skies blog.  I don’t know if you came here by accident, responded to something online or arrived via a search engine, but no matter which way it happened you are very welcome.

I am sure that there are many people in the world who are used to manifesting their desires and who will think that this post will probably not apply to them.  They will probably be saying things like “I am able to create, so why would I need to feel better?”

Each and every one of us is so busy obtaining the “stuff” that we want and when we get it we “feel better” so we feel that there is no need to do anything else, or to stress about things!  However, let me tell you that I believe that we could not be more wrong!

So now let me explain why I think that….. I believe that there is NOTHING external that can make you feel better or in other words NO THING can make you feel better!

We can cover up using illusions temporarily but the reality is that we need to heal ourselves by changing from the inside out!

Fix Your Thinking

So to begin the process we need to understand that without a single exception how you feel is controlled by what you think and if you are “suffering” it is time to put a little bit of “mental reshaping” into action.

None of us can change everything that is happening in our lives, in fact there are many people who can change very little in their life.  BUT without exception every single one of us can change how we feel about every event that occurs.

FACT – the world does NOT conspire against you BUT your thoughts about the world do!

Train Your Brain

One of the jobs that our brain has is to protect us, but not all of its’ thoughts are of the helpful variety.  These come from patterning that has been ingrained over time – often beginning in childhood.

Our brains hold those memories and are always alert for situations that suggest the fears we had in our childhood are about to surface again.  This is the point where our images of a negative world start to have an effect.

These old patterns of fear can be hard to break but they can be  changed! – it is not an easy remedy and it consists of being aware of what you are thinking and then making changes so that you move to a position of thinking better thoughts.

I am not saying this is going to be easy and effortless, but continually shifting your thoughts will have a positive effect in the long term.

Choose To Be Neutral

There is a case to be made for adopting a neutral position to help you to make the shift from negative to positive somewhat easier.  So instead of freaking out over the size of your feet choose the neutral ground.

Instead of “I don’t like the size of my feet” move to “I have two feet!”  Recognise that the majority of people have two feet, they are there for a reason, they are designed to keep us upright and help us to move about without falling over.

Elect To Feel Good

Once you have passed through the above stages if it important to choose a thought or thoughts that make you feel good but if you are a person who always needs to be right it can sometimes need you to get creative and “think outside of the box”

For example - We often jump to the “worst” conclusions about the things we see in life and we assume that people are trying to hurt us or bring us down and because this is how we are thinking we often invent stories and drama where they simply don’t exist.

If we assume the worst that is what we will see!

So set yourself a challenge, instead of believing the first thing you think about a situation ask yourself – could this mean something else?

I bet you will find that it probably does!

And you might find that there are several answers and then you simply believe whichever one that you think is the best.

So that brings us to the end of this week’s post and I hope that you have found it interesting.
