Ways To Remain Motivated
Motivation is of major importance if we are to survive the current crisis that is happening to us all, young and old, male or female.
It would be all too easy to just say "sod it!" and stay in bed doing nothing or sitting on the sofa playing with the games console. In fact there will be some people who do just that and oftentimes they will be the ones who will suffer from boredom etc.in the long run.
So how do we get that much needed motivation?
My thinking about this is very simple - find a goal, something that you want to achieve, it may be a challenge or a new skill or you want to learn or a foreign language.
However, a word of caution here - set yourself just one goal to begin with!
The reason for this is that you want to give yourself the best possible chance that you are going to succeed and achieve your goal.
Once you have found that goal then focus on it and I mean really focus on it.
You need to visualise the results you are intending to achieve, ask yourself how it will feel when you achieve your goal. Visualise the steps you will have to take to reach that goal, and also how each of those steps will feel.
Use other people's energy and experience, talk to someone who has already done it! It is important to only keep your associations with positive people. Those who hold negative views should take no place in your life as you start building and growing!
Having sorted out your goal, it is time to start to get into the really juicy things - find someone who is actually doing what you want to achieve and study the things they do. Find out exactly how they do what they are doing.
Think about your goal every single day, it will probably challenge you at first but over time it will become easier to do.
Following on from this "thinking about it" stage you will probably find yourself moving into the realms of antici-pation (Rocky Horror Picture Show) and you can solidify this by setting a date in the future where you will actually begin to work within your goal.
And from that point forward it is a matter of doing the "pre work" work. At first, I feel it is necessary to get an idea of what you will need to put in place before you start. If you are a "list builder" then here is the ideal time to get to grips with making a really important list.
If, for example, you are planning to start a business, some of the things that you might need to consider are:-
Will I need any sort of licences to allow me to carry on my business? - if the answer is yes when and how do I set about obtaining it? How much will it cost?
Do I have a business bank account? - if "yes" that is great but if "no" then it is important to get an application in as these often take time to open.
Where am I going to operate from? Will I be able to work from home or will I need specific business premises?
What sort of theme do I need to use in my business - fonts / colours / pictures

Do I need to design a logo? Do I need to design a letterhead?
Am I going to need a website? Am I going to need a blog?
At this point it is important to mention that running a business is not generally considered a hobby, in fact it can be exactly the opposite BUT I can assure you that it is well worth putting in the effort to create a good solid base from which to work!
If you are not thinking of opening a business then transfer the questions into the right context that will apply to whatever is actually your big goal / project. But remember -
Keep the BIG PICTURE in mind all the time!
Irrespective of whether your goal is a business of not it will certainly not do you any harm to - Be consistent - it is vital that you take action every single day in the direction of your goal, your new business or your new venture if you want it to grow and succeed.
Even if you are really not in the mood, just do one small proactive thing that will move you towards your ultimate goal — even if it's just a posting a tweet.
And Finally
Remember that - You CAN Do It If You Set Your Mind To It!
