TIME FOR
YOURSELF
A vast majority of people (including me) believe the theory that it is vital to take time for yourself!
It is also important to create space for enjoyment, preferably daily, but at least every week. Doing this will make you happier and you will be more effective both at work and at home.Unfortunately, there are some people who feel that they are undeserving of happiness and there are others who feel that in their busy lives it is impossible to take a break and pause.
My belief is that it is vital to take time for yourself and it only takes a shift in perspective, even if you find that your schedule is crammed and you won’t be able to find the extra time, you really do you have to find it!
I advise that you don’t wait “until it feels right“ because we all have unfinished tasks nagging ourselves, and it is very easy to tell yourself that you will unwind when you have everything under control.
However, for some strange reason work and family life create a large infinite number of "to do's" and you won’t succeed with the statement above. So I suggest that you learn to put up with the discomfort of knowing your email inbox is full, or that the house is a tip and just switch off for a little while.
Why not opt for true enjoyment?
Reserve a small part of each week for doing something that you honestly enjoy just for and of itself.
If you’ve booked tickets or made plans with a friend you will be more likely to make time for yourself. The reason this is so is because the other person will respect you for having something scheduled and it is in fact much easier to leave work because you have something to do than it is to leave work because "you want to relax and chillout".
Why not pay attention to your feelings?
If you find that you are doing something and enjoying yourself, spend half a minute paying attention to the feelings of pleasure that you are experiencing. By doing so you will find that these feelings will increase.

It is also highly likely that you will remember the experience in greater detail and that will make you feel that you have had more time to yourself!
