A Wee Time Out.......

First of all let me say that by the time you read this Burn's Night will be but a memory (probably a very fuzzy one, if your night was anything like the normal ones we have).

However I need to apologise because this week there is no "official" post, my good Lady is having an operation on Wednesday, and since it is "up country" from where we live I am unsure about internet connectivity.  Therefore I think it is better to put the planned post on hold until next Wednesday (2nd Feb).

Just to give you an bit of an update on some of the events coming into the world of Altered Image Coaching.

Along with my great friend Tom Armstrong I am soon to be launching The Altered Image Podcast and apart from talking about things relevant to coaching and personal development, we will be holding discussions on other subjects.

We are hoping to kick off the discussions with looking at a very emotive subject -namely the  loss of a baby during pregnancy.  We feel that there are many instances where this is something that is not talked about openly and that part of the recovery / healing process should be face to face conversations - which can be very difficult but in the long term, undoubtedly cathartic.

Keep an eye open for full details being posted on the blog and our other Social Media.

Something else that is nearing completion and but for the hospital visit I mentioned earlier is the 2022 Altered Image workbook.  It is now looking like we will be launching the download version in about 2 weeks (again dependent on the progress Mrs B. makes).  Here is a glimpse of the cover:-

05/01/22 New Year Thoughts

                Thoughts

As I sit here looking forward to the coming year and all of the exciting projects it holds, I am listening to Somerset Story playing quietly in the background.  It takes me on a magical, mystery journey into the world of legend and fantasy.

I am reminded that this, and other pieces of music and poetry that I have created are a huge part of my legacy to the world.  I ponder about how much more I will be able to create - Goddess willing it will be a lot!

I drift back to my meeting with Nicky P that happened pre - lockdown, to my work with Brian and his generous gift of both friendship and coaching, together with all his help along the way.

I am mindful of all the people I have met during my career and who have given much of the material for my forthcoming book " They Said What?"

I am grateful for all the photographs I have been able to take that have contributed to my calendars, for the many years of radio work, together with the people that has allowed me to meet.

All these things and more besides are a part of the gift(s) that I have been allowed to pass to the world and it has truly been an honour to do so.

As I look out of the window I can see the Sun shining on the waters of the Bristol Channel, I can see the shadows of the windmill sails as they turn on their journey (never going anywhere, but continually in motion).  They are creating much needed power for the local area.

I am filled with gratitude to all of my friends and my family for their continued support and their contribution to my life.  I look forward into the future with Hope and above all with Love.

And so with much love from me to everyone who reads this, from the bottom of my heart thank You and I hope that you will all have a wonderful year!

Your Highest Level Thoughts

Recently I have been chatting with some other coaches and trainers, all people who are involved in the Personal Development field.  The purpose of these conversations was to get a feeling for how they felt was the correct way forwards when getting their message out to people (all of whom could be potential clients).

Everyone agreed that it is most important to build a video presence..... and when I asked "why?" the response was again quite straightforward:-

".....because a static blog is just words and pictures and rarely does it say anything about who you are!" 

So now, going forwards, I have taken their advice on board and have chosen to create a video blog for the page instead of the static one I used to use.  

By necessity, these posts will only be short and I hope that they will provide some  very useful tips about building your own "Vision For Success"
