So
as we head into the New Year and say good bye to 2017) I thought it would be a
good idea to create something called a
Reverse Bucket List.
Now
some of you might be asking what is a Reverse Bucket List?
Quite
simply in a normal bucket list you list a whole lot of things that you want to
accomplish over the coming year or years whereas with a reverse bucket list you
cast your mind back over the previous year and list the most memorable things
that you have accomplished. Once you have
done that you can feel justified in giving yourself a virtual pat on the back
to celebrate all of your achievements.
So
that said, here is my Reverse Bucket List from 2017
Publishing a new book of
poetry -
I began 2017 with taking delivery of Men Monsters and Cornflakes which was the
latest compilation of some 20 poems written during 2016.
Completing a 30 day
challenge
– Molly from alltolove.com (you can find a link to her book on the Merch. page) issued a challenge that I had to post a short video about me or a part of
my life every day for 30 days.
Getting the new tow
hitch for my car
– when I bought the Outlander there was no tow hitch in the car and I
complained about this and after 3 months of persistence it paid off and the
garage provided me with a new hitch free of charge
Completing the new album
“Dragonsgate”
– I finished the recording and producing the 3rd album in the Merlin
Collection. This album featured children
reading most of the poetry
Launching the Under Blue
Skies brand – as
a coach I decided that I wanted to
share the knowledge that I have gained over the years with others. I set up the Facebook tribe for the people
who felt that they wanted to stay in touch.
Creating the blog – this has been a very
time consuming part of my life but that said it is well worth it
Expanding the You Tube
work –
this was a slightly sideways move but one that has proved fairly
successful. Building my presence on You
Tube is also quite time consuming but viewers can now see regular videos
appearing on the Vlogging From Devon channel – such as “A Day In The Life” and
“Video Bytes”
Accepting the offer of a
tour in 2018
– this is very exciting as I have been offered the opportunity to work with a
band on a 6 week tour of the UK
Working with the
Exploration Hub
– as I have always had a hankering to teach I was blown away when this
opportunity was presented only last week – I have been asked to submit my
proposals by way of a lesson plan for presenting a 6 week course on music /
drama and personal development
And
finally
The 2018 Calendar – I had decided that I
was not going to produce a calendar for the coming year and that was my plan
but then several people asked me to do so again – so within 24 hours I had
drafted the calendar, had it proofed and submitted the order.
So
there we have my Reverse Bucket list and if you would like to prepare one and
